Sequence Expression

Sequence Expressions are used to express a sequence, typically in the representation of Variation state.

Unlike Sequence Reference, a sequence expression represents the content of a sequence, instead of representing a sequence by reference.

Note

This class is imported from VRS. Its full documentation can be found in the latest VRS specification at vrs.ga4gh.org.

Trial Use

May change in future releases. See Maturity Model.

Abstract Class — not instantiated directly; concrete subclasses inherit its attributes.

Sealed — SequenceExpression has a closed, exhaustive set of concrete subclasses; every one is listed below. No other subclass is permitted, and a conforming instance must be exactly one of these types.

Computational Definition

An expression describing a sequence.

Information Model

Some SequenceExpression attributes are inherited from Entity.
